Dear Fellow CPPA Members,

It has been a tiring week after the tornado ripped through our small town. The decimation to our parkways and your homes is something that we are all working though together. I want to reach out and thank first and foremost our Association Manager Jim Pauly for his tireless work that started at 11:30 Saturday night. I would also like to thank all of the board members that were able to donate their time and efforts to make the recovery from the storm as smooth as possible. And finally to the tree contractor Double K that has been on site since Sunday morning providing a focus on cleanup and safety that we believe is unmatched.

The purpose of this letter however is not to pat ourselves on the back but to remind all of us some of the rules and processes that we have in place to protect our community for the enjoyment of all. While some have contacted us for access to the parkways others have not and we wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the rules and processes.

If you need to access your property from the parkway with any heavy machinery you must first get approval from the association by providing a proof of insurance and also a deposit to cover any remediation that might be required before the return of your deposit. Also the association’s Parkways are not unlike any other neighbor so if you have had any damage from fallen trees onto your property that is something that you need to pursue through your own insurance provider. And finally while we appreciate the offers for help in clearing or trimming any trees on Association property we need to decline. We hire professionals with proper insurance and safety training to clear, trim or fell any of the trees on Association property.

Thank you for your understanding during this unique event and we hope to see everyone out and about for the remainder of our summer.

Sincerely,

Ray Copeland

CPPA Board President
